Mary Pigliacelli

With more than 30 years of experience supporting nonprofits, artists, environmental organizations, and writers of all kinds, I’ve built my practice around one goal: helping meaningful projects take root and grow. I believe that strong writing can open doors, secure resources, and elevate ideas that deserve to be heard.

The approach I’ve developed through my experiences as a magazine editor, writing instructor, writing center director, and grant writer is collaborative, flexible, and grounded in clarity. I learn your vision, understand your challenges, and translate your goals into language that resonates with funders, readers, and communities.

With a strong background in ecological stewardship and communications, I am also passionate about promoting native plant awareness and supporting initiatives that protect and restore Long Island’s natural landscapes. I am currently completing the Urban Naturalist Certificate Program through the New York Botanical Garden, further deepening my field-based knowledge of local ecology and urban biodiversity.

Whether you’re protecting the natural world, advocating for the arts, or working to bring your own book or dissertation into focus, I’m here to help you communicate with confidence.
